Wednesday, 9th September 2026, some minute before dinnertime-ish?

Earlier today I posted a toot, commented on internet content simple just moving along so quickly. Feeds are as now, current, live as they can be. It is all about RIGHT NOW. Shortly after I another toot "Show me content from 1 year ago"... And this ignited this thought!

Previous to these toots, I was simple browsing my bookmarks on Mastodon and it was FILLED with incredible things that I had forgotten about. And I see no reason for these to re-appear, especially if they are truly unique to something that happened in that moment. Some content is reshared over and over- especially short-form. But there are loads of things the my _super personalized algorithmic_ feeds never shows me again.

I know for a fact that things are worth sharing again. YouTube has in the last ~5 years been showing content from +10 years ago and it is like SNAPSHOTS into differnet times - and I just feel like my brain and memory unlocks different other memories when this happens, especially with relics I discovered before.

This year has really provoked the concept of things posted on the internet, "human made", "no ai", "ai slop" is wide and everywhere.. just a few days ago I saw that EU now requires AI-generated content to be labelled. Certain corners of the internet feels _very_ different to browse now. What is presented to might not be what you think it is. But among all of this there is still VERY ACTIVE COMMUNITIES and creators making mindblowing things.

Past Time is a Internet Capsule curated by me. Every relic is not meant to be a banger. They captured as soon as "it makes sense". I might expand the view horizon later to additionally show "5 years ago", but I think it needs to earn that feature through resiliance and disipline of myself :) (that's comment for future me!)
